16215805811_2b12b2191f_k.jpgOn February 9th, 2010 the Jones family discovered Jocelyn, only 21 months at the time, has Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome is a neurological disorder that strikes at random and affects almost exclusively girls.

Rett Syndrome can be described as symptoms of autism, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, epilepsy, and anxiety... all in one little girl! Jocelyn requires total 24-hour-a-day care, most debilitating is that she cannot walk or talk, and has no purposeful use of her hands.

BUT WAIT, THERE IS HOPE!!! In 2007, Dr. Bird dramatically reversed symptoms in a Rett mouse model! A cure is in Jocelyn’s future, as scientists have continuously described, “Rett is positioned to be the first REVERSIBLE neurological disorder”.

To date, “Jocelyn’s Journey”, has raised over $540,000 for Rett Syndrome Research Trust (RSRT). RSRT is a 501(c)(3) organization where 96% of every donation goes directly to research for a cure. A cure for Rett Syndrome is in the near future and is relied heavily on private funding.

To become a sponsor, purchase tickets for our upcoming event, or to make a donation, please visit https://reverserett.org/take-action/events/jocelyns-journey-18/ . No donation is too large or too small, each and every gift is a step closer to a cure for Jocelyn and so many others who suffer from Rett Syndrome. The Jones family thanks you in advanced for your consideration.
